Why do we need a New Guide Hut?

The Old Guide Hut

Our much loved Guide Hut in Malthouse Square in the Old Town is on its last legs. Now over 90 years old it has served the community well, but with elderly gas heating, windows that don’t open, no proper disabled access and poor quality catering facilities, our girls will not be able to use it for meetings for much longer, not to mention other groups from the community who used to come and use the hut.

The New Guide Hut will be a safe and modern home to Girlguiding Beaconsfield.

The New Guide Hut will ALSO be a great social space which can be enjoyed by all in the community for many uses. Beaconsfield needs and deserves this community building.

Clubs, societies, local businesses and families will be able to rent the building for their use too.
