Rangers is your space – where you get together with other girls from 14 to 18 to have fun, learn more, give back, hang out, and just be you.
It’s regular meetings with your local group, trips at home and abroad, making a difference to the things you care about. It’s an open and relaxed space to talk with good friends – it’s qualifications, and badges and awards. It’s the freedom to be more independent, and to do what makes you happy. Rangers is what you make of it.
As well as following the Guiding programme, Rangers can also help you learn lots of new skills, add to your CV, build your confidence and change the lives of girls across the UK and the world.
You could become a young leader with a local unit and inspire our younger sections, train to be a peer educator and give girls a space to talk about what’s important to them, do your Lead Away permit, Duke of Edinburugh’s Award and, from 16, your Queens Guide award.

Hear what our Rangers think
I have loved growing up with girlguiding as part of my life every week. Seeing it through from Rainbows, Brownies, Guides to Rangers has been so amazing. I am now so pleased to be able to give back by volunteering at Brownies once a week.
Current Ranger
In girlguiding I've done many new and exciting things that I otherwise wouldn' t have done. From camping to team-building exercises, girlguiding has allowed me to try new skills and develop further as a person. My favourite experience so far was wellies and wristbands - a girlguiding fesitcal with Guides from all over the country. It was such an enjoyable experience, and got to really know my fellow Guides and make life-long friends.
Current Ranger
In girlguiding I've had many wonderful experiences such as dragon boating, a fesitival and several residential trips. I've also made life-long friends and had manhy social opportunities away from my typical friend group. I've developed my confidence, resillience and problem solving. Weekly we do loads of engaging and unique challenges that further help is in day-to-day life. Girlguiding has also enabled me to connect to my community via events in which I've had disscussions with my local MP and mayor. I also volunteer which helps me engage with the next generation of Girlguides.
Current Ranger
Girlguiding has allowed me to develop practical skills such as changing a lampshade, grouting, cooking and many more. This has given me more confidence to attempt other practical skills myself and made me feel more prepared for living independently in the future
